Page 16 Intoxicant- Sri Raag Mahalla 1- ਸਚੁ ਸਰਾ ਗੁੜ ਬਾਹਰਾ ਜਿਸੁ ਵਿਚਿ ਸਚਾ ਨਾਉ ॥ The Wine of Truth is not fermented from molasses. The True Name is contained within it. ਸੁਣਹਿ ਵਖਾਣਹਿ ਜੇਤੜੇ ਹਉ ਤਿਨ ਬਲਿਹਾਰੈ ਜਾਉ ॥ I am a sacrifice to those who hear and chant the True Name. ਤਾ ਮਨੁ ਖੀਵਾ ਜਾਣੀਐ ਜਾ ਮਹਲੀ ਪਾਏ ਥਾਉ ॥੨॥ Only one who obtains a room in the Mansion of the Lord's Presence is deemed to be truly intoxicated. ||2|| Page 25 Real Spritual person- Sri Raag Mahalla 1- ਪ੍ਰਣਵਤਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਕੈਸਾ ਹੋਇ ॥ Prays Nanak, what is the nature of the spiritual people? ਆਪੁ ਪਛਾਣੈ ਬੂਝੈ ਸੋਇ ॥ They are self-realized; they understand God. ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦਿ ਕਰੇ ਬੀਚਾਰੁ ॥ By Guru's Grace, they contemplate Him; ਸੋ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਦਰਗਹ ਪਰਵਾਣੁ ॥੪॥੩੦॥ Such spiritual people are honored in His Court. ||4||30|| Page 554 Real Wine- Bihagara Mahalla 3- ਮਾਣਸੁ ਭਰਿਆ ਆਣਿਆ ਮਾਣਸੁ ਭਰਿਆ ਆਇ ॥ One person brings a full bottle, and another fills his cup. ਜਿਤੁ ਪੀਤੈ ਮਤਿ ਦੂਰਿ ਹੋਇ ਬਰਲੁ ਪਵੈ ਵਿਚਿ ਆਇ ॥ Drinking the wine, his intelligence departs, and madness enters his mind; ਆਪਣਾ ਪਰਾਇਆ ਨ ਪਛਾਣਈ ਖਸਮਹੁ ਧਕੇ ਖਾਇ ॥ He cannot distinguish between his own and others, and he is struck down by his Lord and Master. ਜਿਤੁ ਪੀਤੈ ਖਸਮੁ ਵਿਸਰੈ ਦਰਗਹ ਮਿਲੈ ਸਜਾਇ ॥ Drinking it, he forgets his Lord and Master, and he is punished in the Court of the Lord. ਝੂਠਾ ਮਦੁ ਮੂਲਿ ਨ ਪੀਚਈ ਜੇ ਕਾ ਪਾਰਿ ਵਸਾਇ ॥ Do not drink the false wine at all, if it is in your power. ਨਾਨਕ ਨਦਰੀ ਸਚੁ ਮਦੁ ਪਾਈਐ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਮਿਲੈ ਜਿਸੁ ਆਇ ॥ O Nanak, the True Guru comes and meets the mortal; by His Grace, one obtains the True Wine. ਸਦਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਕੈ ਰੰਗਿ ਰਹੈ ਮਹਲੀ ਪਾਵੈ ਥਾਉ ॥੧॥ He shall dwell forever in the Love of the Lord Master, and obtain a seat in the Mansion of His Presence. ||1|| Page 687 Real Bath- Dhanasaree Mahalla 1- ਤੀਰਥਿ ਨਾਵਣ ਜਾਉ ਤੀਰਥੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਹੈ ॥ Why should I bathe at sacred shrines of pilgrimage? The Naam, the Name of the Lord, is the sacred shrine of pilgrimage. ਤੀਰਥੁ ਸਬਦ ਬੀਚਾਰੁ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਗਿਆਨੁ ਹੈ ॥ My sacred shrine of pilgrimage is spiritual wisdom within, and contemplation on the Word of the Shabad. ਗੁਰ ਗਿਆਨੁ ਸਾਚਾ ਥਾਨੁ ਤੀਰਥੁ ਦਸ ਪੁਰਬ ਸਦਾ ਦਸਾਹਰਾ ॥ The spiritual wisdom given by the Guru is the True sacred shrine of pilgrimage, where the ten festivals are always observed. ਹਉ ਨਾਮੁ ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਸਦਾ ਜਾਚਉ ਦੇਹੁ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਧਰਣੀਧਰਾ ॥ I constantly beg for the Name of the Lord; grant it to me, O God, Sustainer of the world. ਸੰਸਾਰੁ ਰੋਗੀ ਨਾਮੁ ਦਾਰੂ ਮੈਲੁ ਲਾਗੈ ਸਚ ਬਿਨਾ ॥ The world is sick, and the Naam is the medicine to cure it; without the True Lord, filth sticks to it. ਗੁਰ ਵਾਕੁ ਨਿਰਮਲੁ ਸਦਾ ਚਾਨਣੁ ਨਿਤ ਸਾਚੁ ਤੀਰਥੁ ਮਜਨਾ ॥੧॥ The Guru's Word is immaculate and pure; it radiates a steady Light. Constantly bathe in such a true shrine of pilgrimage. ||1|| Page 866 Real Tantra- Gond Mahalla 5- ਤੰਤੁ ਮੰਤੁ ਭਜੀਐ ਭਗਵੰਤ ॥ My Tantra and Mantra is to meditate, to vibrate upon the Lord God. ਰੋਗ ਸੋਗ ਮਿਟੇ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਧਿਆਏ ॥ Illnesses and pains are dispelled, meditating on God. ਮਨ ਬਾਂਛਤ ਪੂਰਨ ਫਲ ਪਾਏ ॥੩॥ The fruits of the mind's desires are fulfilled. ||3|| Page 1013 Real Sannyasi- Maroo Mahalla 1- ਸੋ ਸੰਨਿਆਸੀ ਜੋ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਸੇਵੈ ਵਿਚਹੁ ਆਪੁ ਗਵਾਏ ॥ He alone is a Sannyaasi, who serves the True Guru, and removes his self-conceit from within. ਛਾਦਨ ਭੋਜਨ ਕੀ ਆਸ ਨ ਕਰਈ ਅਚਿੰਤੁ ਮਿਲੈ ਸੋ ਪਾਏ ॥ He does not ask for clothes or food; without asking, he accepts whatever he receives. ਬਕੈ ਨ ਬੋਲੈ ਖਿਮਾ ਧਨੁ ਸੰਗ੍ਰਹੈ ਤਾਮਸੁ ਨਾਮਿ ਜਲਾਏ ॥ He does not speak empty words; he gathers in the wealth of tolerance, and burns away his anger with the Naam. ਧਨੁ ਗਿਰਹੀ ਸੰਨਿਆਸੀ ਜੋਗੀ ਜਿ ਹਰਿ ਚਰਣੀ ਚਿਤੁ ਲਾਏ ॥੭॥ Blessed is such a householder, Sannyaasi and Yogi, who focuses his consciousness on the Lord's feet. ||7|| Page 1238 Real Amrit- Sarang Mahalla 2- ਜਿਨ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਮ ਕੀ ਤੇ ਰਤੇ ਮਨ ਮਾਹਿ ॥ Those who are blessed with the glorious greatness of Your Name - their minds are imbued with Your Love. ਨਾਨਕ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਏਕੁ ਹੈ ਦੂਜਾ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਨਾਹਿ ॥ O Nanak, there is only One Ambrosial Nectar; there is no other nectar at all. ਨਾਨਕ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਮਨੈ ਮਾਹਿ ਪਾਈਐ ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦਿ ॥ O Nanak, the Ambrosial Nectar is obtained within the mind, by Guru's Grace. ਤਿਨ੍ਹ੍ਹੀ ਪੀਤਾ ਰੰਗ ਸਿਉ ਜਿਨ੍ਹ੍ਹ ਕਉ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਆਦਿ ॥੧॥ They alone drink it in with love, who have such pre-ordained destiny. ||1||
